Assessments
Strengths & Challenges Assessment
A Strengths & Challenges Assessment will identify any indicators of Dyslexia (this type of assessment does not give a diagnosis).
This is a popular option for primary-aged children as the testing is informal yet gives detailed and helpful learning recommendations for school and home. The assessment identifies strengths and challenges, supports confidence, and celebrates other unique attributes.
The report can support Specialist Teaching, applications for extra time in exams (including Year 6 SATs), and further SEND referral pathways.
The assessment is preferred for those children under 16 as it is completed in approximately 2 to 3 hours and is less formal.
Full Diagnostic Dyslexia Assessment
A full diagnostic assessment is a formal diagnosis of Dyslexia (when appropriate). It includes a 20 plus page report with detailed recommendations and a diagnosis.
